During the tournament, there will be opportunities to compete in three different hole competitions. Each contest will cost $10 with the chance to win half of the pot (the other portion will support the Lake Forest PTC). The competitions are as follows:
Longest Drive:
The golfer who hits the ball the farthest on the predetermined hole wins the prize!
Here's how it works...The person with the first long drive writes their name on the marker that is placed in the fairway. When someone hits a drive beyond the marker, they move it to where their drive ended and write down their name. This continues until everyone has completed the play. At the end of the tournament, the person who hit the ball the farthest on that hole wins the prize!
Closest to the Pin:
The golfer who hits the ball closest to the pin during the event wins the prize!
Here’s how it works… The person who plays the hole first writes their name and the distance from the ball to the hole on the marker. When someone hits a ball closer, they write down their name and distance. This continues until everyone has completed the play. At the end of the tournament, the person who hit the drive closest to the pin wins the prize!
Closest to the Line:
The golfer who hits the ball closest to the ribbon during the event wins the prize!
Here's how it works... There will be a ribbon down the center of the fairway extending down towards the pin. The person who plays the hole first writes their name and distance from their ball to the ribbon, a slated stake is placed into the ground where the most-accurate drive landed. This continues until everyone has completed the play. At the end of the tournament, the person who hit the ball closest to the middle of the fairway wins the prize!
**This is not the same as the "Longest-Drive" hole competition. In the case of "Most-Accurate Drive", the length of the drive doesn't matter as long as it meets some minimum distance from the tee, indicated by where the line begins.
